Gift Guide for New Moms
Blogmas day 4
Do you have a new mom in your life? Perhaps your friend gave birth earlier this year, or your sister-in-law is due any day now. When I’m writing this, I’m still pregnant but due any day. So although I’m not technically a new mom yet, I thought it’d be fun to pull together some gift ideas for the New Mom on your list.
{ONE} Spa basket gift set
You can never go wrong with gifting the essentials for a relaxing bath or shower. Create your own spa basket by purchasing some of her favorite products, or purchase a ready-to-go Spa Gift Set through Etsy or Amazon. Here’s a $30 spa basket gift set that I found on Amazon.
{TWO} A personalized necklace of Baby’s name and birthstone
I love a personalized gift, and I think a piece of custom jewelry with the Baby’s name and birthstone is a great way to highlight such a milestone in this New Mom’s life. There are a lot of options out there, but I love this option from Etsy, starting at $23.
{THREE} A gift card to Starbucks (or her favorite coffee shop!)
Newborns are adorable, but they don’t sleep super well through the night. Therefore, a gift card to Starbucks, Dunkin, or the New Mom’s favorite coffee shop would be a well-loved and practical gift that keeps on giving!
{FOUR} A fluffy, cozy robe
You cannot go wrong with a fluffy, cozy robe, especially for the cold winter months. You can purchase robes basically anywhere, but I found this $17 option on Amazon that comes in a variety of colors (and is hooded!)
{FIVE} Heating pad
Whether the new mom had her baby earlier this year or is newly postpartum, odds are she is sore or has aches and pains that would benefit from a heating pad. I know during my pregnancy, I’ve asked Luke multiple times to rub my neck or back and a heating pad would definitely have come in handy. This $40 heating pad on Amazon is apparently their #1 best seller, so it seems like a good option if you don’t have time to go searching for one in stores.
{SIX} Slippers
Similarly, a fluffy pair of slippers is the perfect “self care” item, and quite honestly, I don’t think you can ever have enough pairs of slippers! How cute and comfy do these slippers look!? And they’re only $17!
{SEVEN} A devotional
My mom gifted me this The Better Mom Devotional at my baby shower, and I am so excited to start it in January.
{EIGHT} Flower subscription
If you can’t visit the new mom in person, a great gift that keeps on giving is a flower subscription. It’s a beautiful and thoughtful way to make sure she feels loved throughout the year while having beautiful flowers in her home even if she hasn’t gotten the chance to grab them at the store. There are a few websites that offer flower subscriptions; one of which is BloomsyBox, and they offer sales and discounts throughout the year.
{NINE} Anything left on the baby’s registry
Yes, purchasing things on the baby registry is a great gift for new moms! They are things the mom has already chosen and probably would be so grateful to not have to buy them herself. It’s a win-win!
