Monthly Roundup: June Favorites

What a month June has turned out to be. It has been a month of celebrating those in my life, enjoying the sunshine, and checking off a few things on my bucket list!

{ONE} Josh’s high school graduation

My baby brother graduated high school this month! It is crazy to think that “little Josh” is not so little anymore; he’s a high school graduate! Of course, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to recreate a photo from my high school graduation 10+ years ago. Time flies.

{TWO} Mollie & Johnny’s wedding

My cousin Mollie married her love, Johnny, this month and it was such a fun day celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs.! They couldn’t have picked a more beautiful June day; it was sunny and not too hot. I was honored to stand by Mollie’s side and loved being part of it. 💜

{THREE} Florida trip & Sea World

Luke and I traveled to Florida for a week to visit his family and enjoy some time in the Sunshine State. It was such a fun trip hanging out, relaxing, and eating delicious food. We went to Sea World one day (my first time!) and I got to check off “Pet a dolphin” on my bucket list and my 101 in 1,001 Days List! It truly was a dream come true since I’ve been wanting to do that for years. It was such a hot day but a fun one seeing different shows and exhibits and cheering on the rest of the fam as they went on roller coasters. So glad we got to go!

{FOUR} Beach days

It’s officially summer which means beach days. I love the beach and wish I could live there all year long. One of my all-time favorite things is reading on the beach (surprise surprise). If you’re looking for book recs for the summer, check out my 2022 Summer Reading Guide for some inspo!

{FIVE} Hearing Baby’s heartbeat ❤️

This month I got to hear Baby’s heartbeat for the first time! It was surreal to hear and know that there’s an actual living human growing inside me right now. We also had an ultrasound and Baby is starting to actually look like a baby! I was able to see their little hands and feet and they were squirming all around, which was crazy to see since I don’t feel them kicking or moving yet. This week (as of June 23) also marks 15 weeks with Baby and they’re getting harder and harder to “hide” with clothes! (AKA, my pants and shorts are starting to fit a bit snug and you can start to see a baby bump when I wear dresses.) They’re officially the size of an avocado! 🥑 It’s all so surreal but so exciting.
