6 Things I'm Looking Forward To
I’ve been in a bit of a slump lately, and I think it’s partly because it’s STILL WINTER.
Seriously, it was supposed to be an “early spring” and it technically now is spring, but the weather is not cooperating. It’s cold, windy, and enough is enough already.
So today I’m focusing on a few things I’m looking forward to (big and small) to help brighten these never-ending freezing days of winter.
{ONE} Spring break.
I work in higher education and am so very thankful/lucky/blessed that we get a spring break with the students. Hallelujah; I’ve been looking forward to it for months. It’s the week after Easter and I truly am counting down the days. I can’t wait to take day trips, read, chill, hang out with Vienna, etc. It’s going to be great.
{TWO} Spring porch vibes.
It’s still chilly but once it hits April/May, I can’t wait to head to Home Depot and pick out all the flowers for our front yard and porches. I’ve already been making a list (of course) of the little things I need to do to prep the space for spring.
{THREE} Evening family walks.
One of my favorite things is when we all can take a family walk before dinner. It’s a great way to not only get our steps in, but enjoy the fresh air and each other. Vienna loves being outside and walks are her favorite, which makes them even more fun.
{FOUR} My audiobooks to come in.
I have about 6 audiobooks on hold at the library/Libby that I’ve been dying to listen to for months. They are scheduled to arrive within the next 5-10 weeks and I am pumped.
{FIVE} The Chosen season 4.
We love The Chosen and season four recently hit theaters. We unfortunately didn’t catch it in time and are not-so-patiently waiting for season four to come out on streaming services.
{SIX} Switching my wardrobes.
Once it starts to get warmer, I’ll officially swap my “wardrobes” from fall/winter to spring/summer. I love sweatshirts, sweaters and loungewear (who doesn’t?) but I’m ready to swap to dresses and shorts. I’ve been pinning outfit inspo on Pinterest and am ready for a refresh.
