Monthly Roundup: July Favorites
We’re halfway through summer, can you believe it? It’s been a pretty busy month, not gonna lie.
At the beginning of the summer, it didn’t look like it’d be crazy, but somehow, someway, life got SUPER busy and I’m okay with it. Here are a few highlights from July.
House Binder
One of my favorite bloggers, Carly the Prepster, shared on an Instagram Story that she started a House Binder and I was immediately obsessed with the idea. It’s basically a Type A dream where you put all the “adulting” things into nicely organized, color-coded sections…AKA, a great excuse to buy office supplies and organize your life. Here’s a breakdown of how Carly organized her House Binder. (Mine is still a work in progress so I’ll share it eventually!)
Mini golfing
Since moving last summer, we’ve been slowly but surely exploring what’s around us. I mentioned last month that I attended an Italian Festival a few blocks away, and this month we stopped at a mini golfing place with a few of Luke’s siblings. It’s been fun to visit new places and enjoy what’s around us.
Bloom Daily Planners’ Vision Planner
Last year I started using a Bloom Vision Planner and I quickly became obsessed with it. Since it only goes until July 2019, I went ahead and purchased another one. I’m obsessed with this print and can’t wait to use it come August!
Jeremy + Alice are engaged
My brother popped the question to his girlfriend (now fiance!) this month. I’m so excited for them as they start the next chapter together. Alice is the perfect match for Jeremy and I can’t wait to call her my SIL.
Beach reads
Summer wouldn’t be summer without at least one trip to the beach. One of my favorite things to do at the beach is to sit by the water and read. There’s something so relaxing about listening to the waves crash as you get lost in a storyline. A few books I’ve read this month are The Happiness Project, The House I Loved, and The Forever Summer. Check out my bookshelf for more recommendations.
Weekend getaway with Luke
This past weekend, Luke and I escaped to the beach. We were looking forward to it all month and it was such a relaxing couple of days away. It ended up being the hottest weekend of the summer so far, but relaxing by the ocean was worth it. (Also a great excuse to get ice cream, to be honest.) Our room was close to the boardwalk so we didn’t do a lot of driving, which was awesome. It’s always tough returning to reality but it was a great break!
