8 Last-Minute Gift Ideas

Blogmas Day 21

We are T-4 days away from Christmas! It’s officially Christmas week and I. Am. So. Excited.

If you’re wrapping gifts, you may realize that the gift is “missing” something. Or, maybe you haven’t even gone shopping yet. It’s okay, there’s no judgement here.

Last-minute shoppers, I see you. And I’ve got you.

Here are a few last-minute gift ideas if you’re scrambling to finish your shopping!

{ONE} A subscription or subscription box

A subscription or a subscription box (e.g, Barkbox, Bean Box, Fab Fit Fun) is a great gift option no matter what. It works as a last-minute gift since you can write a note and say it’s on the way and no one judges you or thinks you’re a procrastinator! If you want the person to have something to physically open on Christmas day, you can always add a little something that goes with the subscription. For example, if it’s a Magnolia Journal magazine subscription, grab the most recent issue at Walgreens so it’s a physical example of what they’ll be getting. Thoughtful and easy.

{TWO} A Movie Night Bundle

I’m a sucker for the themed gifts. I love creating bundles and Pinterest is a huge help in this department. A great last-minute gift idea is a Movie Night Bundle. Grab a DVD (optional) and pair it with movie night snacks and necessities like a cozy blanket, fuzzy socks, popcorn, candy, and hot chocolate mix. If you don’t want to include an actual movie, you could instead include a movie theater gift card to use once theaters are open again.

{THREE} A Self Care Night Box

If you have a sister, mom, or best friend in your life, consider making them a Self Care Night box filled with some of their favorite things. You could include face masks, chocolate, nail polish, body wash, and a cute fluffy towel or wash cloth. Can you tell I love themed gifts?

{FOUR} Photo Gifts

Personalized photo gifts are another great last minute gift option. Walgreens makes a variety of quick photo gifts like mugs, calendars, canvas prints, photo books, and the like. I personally love a good personalized calendar and (you guessed it) try to theme the photos to fit each month (e.g., Christmas photos in December, beach photos in June and July).

P.S. Walgreens has 40% all things photo right now through Dec. 22 so it’s a win-win!

{FIVE} Wine and Cheese Night Starter Kit

For the wine and cheese lover, creating a wine & cheese basket is a fun and easy gift idea. Grab a basket or bag and pair a favorite wine with some cheese or chocolate. If you have time, run to Target and you can find some of the cutest cheeseboards and wine glasses to include, too!

{SIX} A donation on their behalf

Depending on the person, they may appreciate a donation to their favorite charity or nonprofit on their behalf. This is a heartfelt, personalized idea that not only helps a charity in need, but also shows that you care for the person’s interests. This could also work if you wanted to donate in memory of a loved one.

{SEVEN} A Book Stack

For the reader in your life, check their Goodreads account to see which books are on their “Want to Read” shelf. Then, run to Target or Barnes & Noble to grab a few! That way it’s not only easy, but it’s also thoughtful because you know they want to read the books you chose. No guessing necessary! If you want to go the extra mile, grab a cozy blanket or a hoodie to pair with the books. In my opinion, a blanket and a good book is an automatic winning combo.

{EIGHT} A good ol’ gift card

Truly a crowdpleaser even though it gets a bad rap, you can always get a good ol’ gift card. My brother Josh literally loves receiving gift cards so even though it feels impersonal, it’s exactly what he wants. Gift cards could also serve as part of a date night bundle. Grab a restaurant gift card and pair with a sweet note to give to a couple in your life. And I think I can speak for us coffee lovers when I say that you really cannot go wrong with a Dunkin or Starbucks gift card! The more the merrier!
