25 Ways to Get Your Life Together Before the Holidays
Blogmas Day 5
I hope you’ve been enjoying Blogmas so far! I’m not sure if you’ve noticed the theme yet, but this week has been “prep” week! You know I love a good list so today I’m sharing 25 ways you can get organized and prep for the holiday season.
There are, of course, many ways to “get your life together” for the holiday season but below are some quick and easy ideas to help you get started. These are some things I do to mentally and physically prepare for the busy season ahead.
Wash your blankets
Swap your pillows/wash your pillow covers
Declutter your wardrobe (What are you really never going to wear again?)
Donate items after you have done #3!
Clean out the fridge
Make a grocery list of everything you need while doing #5
Clean your kitchen appliances
Throw away old snacks in your cabinets (I’m looking at you, half-eaten bag of Tostitos)
Clean your bathrooms
Catch up on laundry
Create a budget for the month ahead
Block off time in your planner for specific holiday-prep tasks
Make sure all important dates are written in your planner
Plan your “themed” days (baking day, wrapping day, cleaning day)
Switch your sheets
Clean your makeup brushes (because honestly, when was the last time you did that?)
Throw away old dog toys, mismatched socks, rags, and anything else that needs to go
Go through your emails
Empty your trash (both physically and the trash on your computer)
Delete “Recently Deleted Photos” off your phone
Set up your “out of office” email so it’s ready to go when you need it
Take stock of your gift wrapping supplies and restock as needed
Make an address list for your Christmas cards
Clean out your car
Take time to go through your stack of mail (or go paperless!)
