Blogmas Day 4

There are some foods that just scream Christmas to me.

Maybe you have those recipes, too. The ones that you fondly remember from childhood or the ones you have to make each year or else Christmas isn’t…Christmas.

Today I’m sharing a few of those nostalgic recipes for me, and a few I found on Pinterest that also look amazing.

{ONE} Peanut Butter Balls

I’ve made these before and they are both incredibly easy to make and incredibly delicious. I’ve tried it with both white and milk chocolates and personally prefer the milk chocolate version. They’re great for your next Christmas party or just a nice treat for the family during a movie night.

{TWO} Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

This is another traditional Christmas baking staple. It started a few years ago when I discovered they’re my cousin’s favorite type of cookie. Now I make them every year to share with him and his fam, and it’s one of my favorite things to do each season.

{THREE} Better-Than-Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bread

I have never made this but I really want to this year! I discovered the recipe on Pinterest and it looks heavenly. I love Starbucks’ cranberry bread and don’t know why I’ve never thought to recreate it at home.

{FOUR} Chocolate Chip Cookies

Fun fact: Luke isn’t a huge dessert person and prefers chocolate chip cookies whenever possible. For this, any ol’ Nestle Tollhouse recipe will do. I’ve become quite the chocolate chip cookie expert since they’re a staple in our house, during Christmas and throughout the year.

{FIVE} Banana Bread

One of the key recipes that reminds me of Christmas is banana bread (and breakfast casserole, but we’ll get there in a second). Every year on Christmas morning my mom has made different kinds of breads, banana being one of them. When I think of Christmas, banana bread is one of those nostalgic foods that comes to mind.

{SIX} Breakfast Casserole

Breakfast casserole is the other food that comes to mind when thinking about Christmas. It’s the main course for Christmas brunch and has been ever since I can remember. There are usually different kinds to choose from with side dishes including banana bread, fruit, and cinnamon rolls.

{SEVEN} Santa Munch Christmas Popcorn

Doesn’t this look delicious? Such a fun and easy snack for a movie night or to munch on while working from home. Definitely going to be trying this!

{EIGHT} Copycat Starbucks Gingerbread Latte

Um hi, this looks incredible. Also I couldn’t do a recipes post without including a coffee recipe ;) I love Starbucks’ gingerbread lattes and this copycat recipe looks easy without too many ingredients. The only downside is it says 40 minute for one latte, so I may have to try this on a weekend when I have more time!
