Monthly Roundup: December Favorites
Blogmas Day 23
I know I usually wait until the end of the month to share my monthly favorites, but next Friday is New Year’s Eve and I have other content lined up for that day!
December has been a whirlwind. To be honest, there have been some major lows this month, but God is still sovereign and His plans are greater than what we could ever imagine.
December has also been a month of some really great moments and memories, so I wanted to highlight some of those favorite things today.
{ONE} Florida trip
We kicked off the month by spending a few days in Florida visiting Luke’s family and having a Thanksgiving and Christmas weekend. We spent a lot of quality time with each other and visited some cool places, including a cute little donuts & coffee shop by the beach.
{TWO} Holiday break
There are many perks to working in higher education, but one of them is definitely the fact that we get a few weeks off for Christmas. It is something I look forward to, especially after a busy fall. It’s the perfect time to relax, unplug, read, spend time with family, and prep for the new year ahead.
{THREE} Laai’s Soundroom event in Philly
Our friends (Laai) were invited to play at Soundroom, which is an exclusive, invite-only event that highlights up and coming music artists. They did so well and it was such a fun event cheering them on at their first live show ever. You can follow them on Instagram @laaiofficial and on Spotify here.
{FOUR} Baking day with Mom
Mom and I continued the annual tradition of Christmas baking. One of our favorite things to make each year is peanut butter blossoms. They are always a hit with family and friends, and so easy to make.
{FIVE} Spider Man: No Way Home
This movie!! Go see it. It’s amazing. We saw it earlier this week with my brother Josh and it is definitely a highlight of December (and possibly 2021, to be honest).
{SIX} Girls Day at Longwood Gardens
My mom, sister-in-law Alice, and myself went to Longwood Gardens this week to experience their Christmas displays. We went last year and it was so magical that we decided to do it again this year. I took so many photos of various displays, so sorry not sorry if you follow me on Instagram and were spammed with Longwood photos!
