6 Random Things I've Purchased Lately
This is a bit random, but I thought I’d share some purchases I’ve made lately. To be honest, I’ve been trying to stop impulse shopping or scrolling on Amazon for fun.
Amazon, specifically, makes it WAY TOO EASY to buy things you don’t need.
I always love seeing what people purchase impulsively so I thought that I’d share some of mine. These are the only things I’ve purchased within the last couple of months. I actually haven’t spent that much on non-essentials apparently. (Please note: Coffee IS considered an essential and so I do spend money on that weekly.)
{ONE} A peony wreath for our front door
I may have mentioned this when I talked about our front yard transformation, but I purchased a pink peony wreath for our front door. It had great reviews on Amazon and I can confirm, this wreath is great! It’s so pretty and the perfect pop up color to contrast our blue door.
{TWO} A pink flowered kimono
I purchased this kimono a few days ago so I haven’t worn it out of the house but I am already in love. I love wearing these types of kimono cardigans over a tank top and shorts or jeans to make the outfit a bit more elevated. Pro tip: Choose one that has a variety of colors you wear often so you can style it in multiple ways!
{THREE} Old Navy’s Dolphin-Hem Run Shorts
These running shorts are everything. They’re perfect for running, lounging, and everything in between. They come in a bunch of different colors. I currently own several pairs and I love them. They fit true to size, are easy to wash, and are super flattering.
{FOUR} Clean & Clear Acne Spot Treatment
Fun fact: I’m allergic to most skincare products. Specifically the ingredient benzoyl peroxide which apparently is in pretty much all things skincare EXCEPT Clean & Clear products. So, I use Clean & Clear and St. Ives products exclusively and love them. I recently picked up this spot treatment since it’s summer and I tend to break out more often this time of year. It works great and isn’t super expensive. I plan on repurchasing now that I’ve discovered it.
{FIVE} Matchmaker by Elin Hilderbrand
I’ve been reading nonstop all summer and quickly going through the books I own. I have several books on hold at the library that I’m waiting to arrive but in the meantime, I purchased Matchmaker by Elin Hilderbrand via Amazon. I actually purchased it used from a bookstore via Amazon, which is a life hack if you want to buy books but are trying to stay within a small budget! You can usually order used copies of books from Goodwills or thrift stores around the country. My copy came from a thrift store in Tennessee!
{SIX} Business Minded by Carly Riordan preorder
My favorite blogger Carly Riordan (AKA Carly the Prepster) announced she wrote a book! She announced it this week and I immediately preordered it. I’ve been reading her blog for years and met her in college. It doesn’t come out until November so I’ll have to wait a bit, but it was 100% worth it to support a blogger I’ve followed avidly for years.
