What's In My Hospital Bag (and Recommendations By You!)

Blogmas day 7

For a few weeks, I’ve been scrolling through Pinterest and reading all of the blog posts about what people pack in their hospital bags for delivery. As I’m writing this, I’m still pregnant and have obviously not gone through this before. So besides the obvious toiletries and insurance information, I’m at a loss as to what to pack for this unknown adventure.

I purchased this weekender bag from Amazon as my hospital bag. I love it so far; it holds so much stuff! I know it’ll definitely come in handy for future trips, as well. I’m also bringing the diaper bag just in case.

If you’re curious as to what I have packed in my bag, look no further. Today I’m sharing what I’ve packed (so far) and the fantastic list of recommendations from YOU via Instagram Stories!

  1. Toiletries - travel-sized body wash, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, chapstick, hair ties, hair brush, toothbrush, and toothpaste

  2. Socks (compression & regular)

  3. Slippers

  4. Flip flops for the shower (and in case of swelling)

  5. Maternity leggings and shirts

  6. A comfy robe

  7. Comfortable pajamas

  8. Hospital paperwork and my pregnancy planner

  9. An extra-long phone charger

  10. Baby Girl’s going home outfits (two sizes)

  11. Swaddle blanket and burp cloths

  12. Baby mittens, socks, and a hat

  13. A few diapers (two sizes) and wipes

  14. Car seat (technically not in the hospital bag, obviously, but still necessary!)

  15. Snacks for Luke (He says he won’t need them, but I beg to differ!)
