Monthly Roundup: October Favorites

If you’ve been here for a second, you know October is my favorite month. I love October for many reasons, and this year was definitely one for the books. So many highlights and favorites, I don’t even think I captured them all in this blog post!

Let’s get right into my October favorites, because there is a lot to cover.

{ONE} Girls Day at Terrain

We kicked off the month with a girls day to one of my favorite places, Terrain. It was a picture-perfect fall day, so we were able to stroll the aisles (and aisles) of plants and pumpkins. I definitely wanted them all; they were all so cute! We also grabbed a last-minute lunch at Terrain’s Garden Cafe complete with delicious lattes and a beautiful cheeseboard.

{TWO} Guest Room & Home Office Makeover

I will be doing a full guest room & home office makeover blog post, but we (Luke) finished the makeover this month!! I cannot wait to share all of the details, but if you want a sneak peek, this is what it looked like before. A few of my favorite things about this room: The custom Murphy bed, the color blue we chose, how the sunset rays look on the wall at night, and how functional the room now works as both my new home office and a guest room. There are still some small details left to finish, like hanging up my coffee art print above my desk and building shelves by the bed and in the closet, but overall, it’s looking great and is already a fun, fresh place to work. Stay tuned for all the deets!

{THREE} Nursery Updates

With the guest room and home office makeover pretty much wrapped up, our attention has turned to the nursery (a.k.a., my old home office). I’ll be sharing an entire blog post about the nursery once it’s finished, but this month we built the crib, chose a chair, bought the dresser, and made lots of progress with setting everything up. It’s definitely started to feel real, and I’m so excited to share all the details with you soon.

{FOUR} Our 4th Wedding Anniversary

October also marked our fourth wedding anniversary, which we celebrated on October 27. I can’t believe it’s been four years already; time flies! We had a low-key celebration by going out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and enjoying delicious Italian food.

{FIVE} Coffee With Keri Baby Shower

I am still in awe of my brew-tiful baby shower that occurred this past weekend! It was coffee shop-themed and perfect in every way! My mom, friends, and sisters-in-law planned it and thought of every detail, down to including the Coffee With Keri logo on various things! Baby Girl is already loved a latte, and it was such a fun day getting ready for her arrival!

{SIX} Halloween

When I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to do a fun and creative Halloween costume to show off the Bump. Luke and I have been brainstorming potential costumes for a few months but couldn’t think of anything that we both loved… Until Luke saw an idea online and I went, “YES. That’s IT!”

So, we dressed up as Fat Thor from Avengers: End Game and President Loki. It was honestly such a fun, easy and comfortable costume for my 34-week bump, and I love how unpredictable it is compared to other pregnancy costumes I saw online. It’s definitely one of my all-time favorite costumes we’ve done together, and I’m sure we’ll be laughing about it for years to come!
