Monthly Roundup: March Favorites
We did it, guys! We are officially 1/4 of the way through 2022. As we wrap up one of my favorite months, I didn’t realize how jam packed March was until I sat down to write this blog post. Whew, it was busy.
March was full of some wonderful things, and I can’t wait to share them with you. Without further ado, here are some of my March favorites.
{ONE} What’sHerName Podcast
A podcast that shares stories of women in history that you probably haven’t heard of. My friend and SIL Julie told me to check this out and I am obsessed. I’ve only listened to a few episodes so far, but I’m hooked. It’s fascinating to learn more about women in history and I can’t believe I hadn’t heard some of these stories before! Incredible.
{TWO} Book of the Month
March was the month of being influenced because my friend and SIL Paulina convinced me to finally check out Book of the Month, a monthly book subscription where you can select a book every month for a fraction of the cost of a hardcover. I chose The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley.
The thing that I love about BOTM is that you don’t have to choose a book every month; it’s completely up to you! If you don’t like the titles BOTM selects to choose from, then you don’t get charged. You only get charged for the book(s) you select. The best thing is the first book is only $5; and after that, it’s only $10 per hardcover. Pretty great, right?! I was sold, and I’m guessing you might be too. You can order your first BOTM with my referral code here.
{THREE} Haiden’s Coffee
I finally visited Haiden’s Coffee and Cafe, a cute little coffee shop in Maryland. I loved it. It came as a recommendation when I was compiling my Local Coffeeshop Bucket List this past summer. Highly recommend their iced coffee and incredible salted caramel croissant. SO worth the long drive it took from my house!
{FOUR} Around Again & Again Bookstore
I discovered a little local bookstore called Around Again & Again Books. Although it is a small store, they had a huge selection of titles that have been on my To-Be-Read list for forever. And, their prices were incredible affordable. I’m talking $6-$8 max for a hardcover. If you’re in the Northern Delaware area, you have to check them out. The owner is the sweetest and they are always open to donations, too. I’m so happy I found them!
{FIVE} Etsy Print Results
In my recent post, 10+ Things On My Mind This Week, I mentioned I was on the hunt for a digital art print for my office. After some deliberation and hearing your thoughts, I chose the simple sketch of a book and coffee cup. I love it. The print is from the Etsy shop, BreaxBlythe, and is now hung and framed in my office!
{SIX} Bubble Wand
My cousin got married this month (yay!!) and I was a bridesmaid. Let’s start by saying I do not typically “do” my hair. I wash it, dry it, brush it, and hope for the best. But that doesn’t fly for weddings, so when Katie said to wear our hair down and curled, I panicked just a little bit until my mom told me to check out the bubble wand.
GAME CHANGER for someone like me who isn’t super talented in the hairstyling department. It’s basically a curling iron without the clamp and is very user intuitive (and only $20 on Amazon!). You basically just turn it on and wrap sections of your hair around the bubbles and voila! Curls. So easy and they lasted all day with a little bit of hairspray!
{SEVEN} Katie & Aaron’s Wedding
My cousin Katie got married this month! She and her husband Aaron had a small ceremony at the very beginning of COVID so they weren’t able to have the wedding they’d been planning. Fast forward to two years later, we were able to finally come together to celebrate their big day. It was such a fun day celebrating them both!
{EIGHT} My 29th Birthday
I celebrated my birthday this month! It landed on a Friday, so I took the day off. Luke made a delicious cake and two of my coworkers surprised me with flowers! I definitely felt spoiled. On my actual birthday, I got my nails done for Katie’s wedding, grabbed my birthday coffee (of course), and went shopping with my mom. We stopped at Old Navy and Marshalls, where I snagged a few blazers and jackets that I adore. I will definitely show you how I style what I got! it was a nice day and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store.
