Monthly Roundup: April Favorites
April absolutely flew by. I have no idea where it went, but alas, we are only a few days away from May. Crazy!
If I’m being honest, I usually track a list of favorite things for each month during the month so I don’t have to try to come up with the list all at once.
Did I do that this month?
No, I did not. So what did I do today while writing this blog post?
I tried to remember all my monthly favorites, and I’ve got to admit. There were more than I thought! Here are a few of my favorites from the month of April.
{ONE} Spring break
It’s a given, but spring break was a definite favorite of the month. I checked off a few organization tasks, visited with friends and family, and unplugged from my email and social media for most of the week. It was glorious, and I provided a deeper recap of spring break here: A Spring Break Recap. One thing I didn’t mention in that blog post because it hadn’t happened yet was celebrating my cousin Mollie’s bridal shower! Along with a few bridesmaids, we built a giant grazing table/charcuterie board and it’s probably one of my proudest accomplishments to date!
{TWO} My Easter dress
Ever since I was little, I’ve loved finding that “perfect” outfit for each holiday: Christmas, New Year’s, Easter, etc. A few days before Easter this year, I stumbled upon this dress on Amazon for $30 (!!) and it was true to size. AND it has pockets. I love it because it’s casual enough to be worn with flats or sandals, but dressy enough to pair with heels.
{THREE} Get Organized with The Home Edit on Netflix
I LOVE The Home Edit and enjoyed season one of their show on Netflix. I somehow missed the memo they were doing another season so when I saw season two as a recommended show to watch, I was ecstatic. I love their colorful and aesthetically-pleasing style of organizing and have loved watching it on the weekends.
{FOUR} Iced Coffee
I’ve been loving my mid-afternoon iced coffee lately. Like, looking forward to it the moment I wake up. I’ve perfected the combo of Stok iced coffee (black, unsweetened), a dash of french vanilla creamer, a little bit of caramel syrup, and a whole lot of ice. It’s glorious and the perfect mid-afternoon pick-me-up.
{FIVE} To-Do Pad by Bloom Planners
I received a birthday coupon from Bloom Planners last month, which means that I could not pass up the opportunity to purchase a Bloom product. I’m still trying to decide which Vision Planner design I want for the 22-23 year, but in the meantime, I picked up this Daydreamer Believer To-Do Pad and I love it. It’s perfect for scribbling random notes or tasks.
{SIX} Gilmore Girls sweatshirt
I received this Gilmore Girls sweatshirt for Christmas and let me tell you, it has become my go-to sweatshirt anytime I do not feel like wearing real clothes. I’ve been struggling with allergies and a cold this past week, so snuggling up in a comfy sweatshirt has been just what I need.
{SEVEN} Shackets from Old Navy
I received two shackets for my birthday from my mom last month. They’re both from Old Navy and my secret to making any outfit fashionable and on-trend. Don’t feel like dressing up? Wear jeans, a black tee, and thrown on a shacket. Not sure if you’re going to be too hot or too cold? Bring a shacket. It’s literally a game changer and thanks to my mom’s convincing, I have two: pink and white. Best decision ever. Thanks, Mom!
