10 Random Things I've Recently Purchased on Amazon (+ How I Like Them)
It is way too easy to order things on Amazon. I am a sucker for Amazon Prime and the Amazon delivery guy definitely comes to our house more often than I’d like to admit.
In my defense, I keep potential items in my cart for a while before purchasing them so I can question whether or not it is an “impulse buy.” I’m also diligent with returning anything I don’t love. I thought it’d be fun to share some of my recent Amazon purchases and whether or not they were worth it.
{ONE} Beach Toys for Kids
We’re going to the beach for a day trip and I realized we didn’t have any beach toys! These arrived this morning and although we haven’t technically used them yet, they are durable, great colors, and the perfect size for toddlers. I know we’ll get a lot of use out of them since we have a few beach trips planned in the next few weeks.
{TWO} Toddler Water Shoes
Speaking of beach trips, I purchased these toddler water shoes on a whim since Vienna’s still a little young for flip flops. They are so cute, flexible, and apparently comfortable because Vienna doesn’t want to take them off! Also true to size and I love the little velcro flaps for easy wearing.
{THREE} LeapFrog Picnic Basket
I’m giving this as a gift for our niece’s first birthday because Vienna has it and is obsessed with it. There are multiple “settings” depending on the development level and all of the little foods are big enough that they can’t choke on them. Vienna loves having little picnics and it all fits nicely into the basket at the end of playtime.
{FOUR} Grownsy Hip Seat Baby Carrier
Technically a “dupe” for a more extensive brand, this hip seat baby carrier is comfortable, easy to put on, lightweight, and way more affordable than a lot of its competitors. We’ve used it a few times around the house and I know it’ll come in handy when traveling later this summer.
{FIVE} Toddler’s First Coloring Book
A great little coloring book of 100 simple drawings! Vienna is starting to explore arts and crafts and this book gives her many different animals and everyday items to choose from.
{SIX} Ma Mama Tanktop
I was looking for a cute tank top to wear around the house or to the gym and I found it! I love the cute saying on the front and it’s true-to-size.
{SEVEN} Swimsuit
I have a love-hate relationship with swimsuits (doesn’t everyone?!) and was especially looking for cute one-piece suits I could wear while chasing a toddler. This one does the trick and I love the color blocking; it’s fun and bright without the busyness of a pattern. I find it pretty flattering, as well, and comfortable. It doesn’t ride up and I don’t feel the need to adjust it every 10 seconds.
{EIGHT} The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell
I borrowed this book from the library but didn’t get around to reading it immediately and couldn’t renew it, so…I purchased it. I finally got to reading it and AMAZING. 5/5 stars. I talk more about it in Read With Keri: Books I Read in June.
{NINE} iPhone Case
My iPhone case was literally falling apart so I headed to good ol’ Amazon to find a replacement. I don’t like spending tons of money on phone cases and am not super picky. I do prefer hard cases and ideally with a cute pattern so it hides the scuffs that will ultimately appear. This one is the one I landed on but look at all the cute options!
{TEN} Such a Bad Influence by Olivia Muenter
I pre-ordered this and can’t wait to dive in once my friend gets her copy, too. We’ve been having a little book club and chose Such a Bad Influence for our next read. I couldn’t resist and read the first few chapters already — ahhh it’s so good. I can’t wait to finish it!
