Monthly Roundup: November Favorites
It’s the end of November. Can you BELIEVE it?
We are almost to the end of 2020. (Cue Hallelujah Chorus.)
The months of October through December always fly by for me. I really look forward to this last quarter all year long.
This year, I have something REALLY exciting to share with you. But you’ll have to wait until December to find out. I know, I know — just wait a few more days and then you can know!
November was a fun month and I swear it flew by in five days. Here are a few highlights.
{ONE} Starbucks Holiday Cups (and Drinks)
Starbucks started selling holiday cups and drinks this month 🙌 On launch day, they gave away free reusable holiday cups if you ordered a holiday beverage. So yes, of course I went to Starbucks to get it! However, that day happened to be in the high 70s, so it felt a bit odd to sip a Peppermint Mocha while sweating. But hey! Haters gonna hate.
{TWO} Outdoor Movie Night
If you’re a subscriber (which hi, you totally should subscribe), then you know I mentioned in my weekly email we were hosting an Outdoor Movie Night for our neighbors since the ‘hood canceled Halloween this year. It was SO fun. We played Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone on the big screen, had popcorn, hot chocolate, s’mores and snacks, and even bought a fire pit for the occasion. We set up chairs to be socially distanced and it was a blast!
{THREE} Bloom Planners Community Call on World Kindness Day
Bloom Planners (my favorite stationery company) hosted a Community Zoom Call on World Kindness Day. We talked about ways to spread kindness in our communities and I got to meet other Bloom fans from around the country. It was such a cool experience, and I’m so glad I was part of it!
{FOUR} Supporting Small Businesses
I started Christmas shopping and found some amazing small businesses to support along the way. If you missed it, you can check out my Shop Small Guide here.
{FIVE} Decorating for Christmas
Our house is finally all Christmas-fied and I am thrilled! Our state announced increased COVID restrictions and that night, we decorated for Christmas. It was my way of coping with the news, and honestly, it did help a bit. Besides putting up trees in our living room, bedroom, and my office, I also brought out my Christmas mugs, blankets, candles, and started listening to Christmas music. It’s AMAZING.
Lucy absolutely loves the tree and has only tried to eat it four times. Her new favorite hobby is curling up under it and taking a nap with her tennis ball. I’m not crying, you’re crying 😭♥️
