Monthly Roundup: December Favorites
Blogmas Day 23
We are nearing the end of Blogmas, which is absolutely CRAZY because it feels like we just started. In true Coffee With Keri fashion I wanted to share my favorites from the month because December has truly been a highlight of 2020.
What you may or may not know is that I actually tested positive for COVID-19 at the beginning of this month. On December 1, I found out I was positive and truly debated ending Blogmas before it even began because I wasn’t sure if I’d be up for it.
However, I am very thankful to say that although I tested positive, I was asymptomatic for the majority of the time and was able to continue to work from home (and write posts!) without any issues. I know I am super blessed to not have gotten it more severely and even more thankful Luke never tested positive. With that said, the first half of the month was a bit interesting because we quarantined for 14+ days. A lot of our Christmas plans were either canceled or rescheduled to later this month because of quarantine and even still, I stayed home 95% of the month to be extra cautious.
Although December was a month of ups and downs, there is always things to be thankful for. Here are a few of my December favorites.
{ONE} Blogmas
First and foremost, my first ever Blogmas has been a HUGE highlight this month. When I had the idea of doing it, it seemed daunting and a bit out of my comfort zone which is exactly why I knew I needed to do it. It was fun thinking of blog post ideas and hearing your feedback on which posts resonated with you the most. Plus, I was able to share guests posts from my friends Katie and Natalie and host my first Coffee With Keri Giveaway featuring the exclusive Coffee With Keri mug. Thank YOU for making Blogmas so special.
{TWO} Baking day
Mom and I were able to keep the tradition of having a cookie baking day this year. It’s one of my favorite things about Christmas and we make loads of peanut butter blossom cookies and classic chocolate chip.
{THREE} Lucy’s first snow
Seeing Lucy experience snow for the first time was not only a highlight of this month, but truly a highlight of this year. Ever since we got her in March, I’ve been looking forward to seeing Lucy experience snow and her reaction did not disappoint. In fact, she even wrote about her first snow day for the blog so go check it out ;)
{FOUR} Coffee With Keri hat from Copper Penny Delaware
Copper Penny, a local embroidery and screen printing shop that I featured in my Shop Small Gift Guide, made me a Coffee With Keri hat and I am OBSESSED. It has my monogram on the front and my logo on the back. I cannot wait to wear it while doing errands, working out, or just chilling at home. I love the pink stitching against the white hat. Of course it required a mini photoshoot with Lucy and the blue door; I couldn’t resist. THANK YOU AGAIN, Copper Penny!
{FIVE} My new bullet journal
I finished my first bullet journal! I’m so excited to have officially bullet journaled for two years straight. I’ve been looking forward to cracking open my new pink bullet journal Luke gifted me a few Christmases ago. I promised myself I wouldn’t use it until I finished my other one so now I get to set up new spreads for 2021. Yay!
{SIX} Longwood Gardens
My mom, my sister-in-law Alice, and I visited Longwood Gardens this week. If you’ve never been, it’s a stunning botanical garden with historic buildings and consists of over 1,077 acres of gardens and forests in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. It’s stunning all year round, but especially during Christmastime because they decorate beautifully and wrap their trees with lights. When we went, there was still snow on the ground which made it even more magical!
