How I'm Really Feeling Today
Blogmas Day 10
It’s Friday. Ten days into December, two weeks away from Christmas Eve, three weeks from New Year’s Eve.
2021 is almost over.
While everyone is hustling and bustling, this week I’ve been jolted to a stop.
You may not have realized this (and that’s kind of the point), but this week I took a step away from my blog, and a lot of things, and just… stopped.
We went to Florida this past weekend, and to prepare, I wrote nine days worth of Blogmas posts. I knew our trip would be wonderful and eventful and returning to reality would be difficult.
I was right. This week has been a roller coaster, and I’m admitting to you, and to myself, that sometimes, it’s okay to not be okay.
You can celebrate the Christmas season and still have hard days. You can love all of the Christmas festivities and still have moments where you just want to take a breath, a break, and stop all together.
It’s okay.
So today, I really don’t have much to say except that I’m thankful for you. Thank you for taking a moment out of your day to read my blog posts, to encourage me, and to understand when it’s not all positivity and sunshine on this blog.
It really does mean a lot, and I really do appreciate it.
With that said, the Blogmas fun will continue tomorrow. I have some really fun things in store next week, and I promise you won’t want to miss it!
But today, consider this a “no bones day” and relax. Enjoy your coffee by the tree, silence your phone, read your Bible and pray, and just… be still. We might not realize it, but we so desperately need it.
