10 Fall Favorites

Monthly roundup posts took a hiatus in August and September, so instead of sharing October favorites this week, I’m rounding up some of my fall favorites.

1. Soup

Honestly, shout out to soup LOL I’ve been sick for most of October (boooo) and soup has been the MVP. I crave soups and stews during the fall months anyways, but even more so when I’m feeling under the weather.

2. Quiet mornings

I love quiet mornings and even if it means waking up 15 minutes earlier before everyone else, I try to take advantage when possible. I love the stillness and cozy vibes fall mornings bring.

3. Thrifting

Kid clothing gets expensive fast. I love to thrift and recently found some new local thrift shops where I hit the jackpot for fall/winter essentials for Vienna. It was such a great feeling knowing I checked off most of my shopping list without going over budget.

4. Produce Junction

Produce Junction has incredible deals on pumpkins and gourds; we stocked up on pumpkins this year without breaking the bank!

5. Toddler arts & crafts

Vienna has discovered a love for arts and crafts, which makes my heart happy. I’m not a DIY girl by any means, but I do love a good craft that’s fun and low commitment. I found this great crafting bin on Amazon to organize all the materials we’ve accumulated.

6. Meals on the porch

Vienna loves being outside (and so do I!) so we’ve been taking advantage of all the sunlight we can before it gets too cold. One way we’ve been making mealtime more exciting (and more likely for her to actually eat her food) is by eating meals/snacks on the porch. She loves to watch cars drive by, birds, squirrels, you name it as she eats.

7. Apple picking

We went apple picking a few weeks ago and checked it off our fall bucket list. It was SO fun and a beautifully perfect day for it. We all had a blast.

8. Seasonal beverages

Of course the pumpkin spice latte will always be a favorite, but I’ve also been enjoying hot tea at night. It’s probably because I’ve been sick, but something about chilly fall nights makes me want to drink all the hot drinks.

9. We went to a Gala!

Luke and I were invited to attend a black-tie Gala for my job. I found a stunning black and beaded dress from Macy’s, wore fancy jewelry, took time to do my own hair and makeup, and had so much fun at the event. It was our first fancy evening out since having Vienna and the first time not doing the nighttime routine. Shout out to my parents for watching Vienna. It was a fun night!

10. Six-year wedding anniversary

Technically our anniversary is this Sunday, but I can’t believe it’s been six years already. It has been adventure after adventure and the best six years ever. ❤️
