5 Smoothie Recipes I've Been Loving Lately

As the weather starts to get warmer, I’ve been craving smoothies in the morning.

They’re refreshing, healthy, and a great way to get your fruits and veggies in early in the day.

I honestly was never a huge smoothie lover growing up, but after we got a NutriBullet for our wedding a few years ago, I try to use it as much as I can.

Pinterest has been a great place to find unique and delicious smoothie recipes. The great thing about smoothies is you really cannot go wrong and they take less than 5 minutes to whip up! You really don’t need an official smoothie recipe; just grab a bunch of ingredients in your fridge and you’re bound to make something delicious.

Here are 5 smoothie recipes that I’ve been loving lately:

{ONE} Green Apple Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 green apple (chopped)

  • Spinach

  • 1 frozen ripe banana

  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk

  • Optional: chia and flax seeds

The full recipe can be found here.

{TWO} Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups of strawberries

  • 1 frozen ripe banana

  • 2/3 cup of unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 cup of ice

The full recipe can be found here.

{THREE} Spinach & Strawberry Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • Spinach (about 2 cups)

  • Strawberries (about 1 cup)

  • Blueberries (1 handful)

  • Honey (a tablespoon or two)

  • Water & ice until desired consistency

There is no specific recipe for this; I usually just wing it!

{FOUR} Pineapple Raspberry Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • Frozen pineapple

  • Frozen raspberries

  • Spinach (about 2 cups)

  • Water & ice until desired consistency

There is no specific recipe for this; I usually just wing it!

{FIVE} Forever Young Smoothie

This may be cheating a little bit, but I’ve definitely grabbed pre-cut, ready-to-go smoothie packets from the grocery store. Campoverde’s Forever Young smoothie mix is one of my favorites. To make it a bit healthier, I’ll add spinach and water to the mix instead of almond milk or juice.
