Monthly Roundup: October Favorites

IMG_6814.JPG

I’m in shock that November starts on Sunday.

SHOCKED, I tell you. Where did October go!? As you probably know, October is my favorite month. It’s peak fall season. The colors are beautiful, the weather is chillier, and it’s all the cozy vibes.

This month there is much to be thankful for and it was hard to narrow down what should be highlighted in my monthly roundup! Here are a few of my October favorites.

{ONE} Terrain

I absolutely love Terrain and if you haven’t been, you must go at least once, but preferably multiple times at minimum. There is just something so magical about Terrain. So many plants, pumpkins, twinkly lights, and cozy vibes. This month I went with my sister-in-law and mom for a girls’ day and it was lovely.

{TWO} Pumpkin bread

I was craving pumpkin bread this month and there’s something about baking in the fall that just hits different. I found this pumpkin bread recipe and it made two delicious loaves of bread. It was super easy to make and the house smelled amazing, which was an unexpected win!

{THREE} Dog sweaters

A family friend was cleaning out and stumbled upon two dog sweaters that she didn’t need. When she messaged me and asked if I’d be interested in taking them for Lucy, I immediately said yes! Of course I felt a little silly dressing my dog in sweaters but she looked so cute that I didn’t even care! I think Lucy secretly loves them, though, because once she got used to having it on, she didn’t want to take it off!

{FOUR} Project Guest Room

We finally completed Project Guest Room this month! It’s been on the “someday” to-do list for a while and when we found out we’d finally be able to use our guest room as an actual guest room, I went all Guest Room Fairy Godmother and transformed the room on a budget. You can check out more details here.

{FIVE} Harry Potter

Guys. I did it. I finally (finally) started watching the Harry Potter series for the first time EVER. Yes, ever. I’ve never read the books and up until this month, I never saw the movies either. Don’t hate me. Apparently that’s a very controversial statement and when some people found out, they were appalled. I’ve only watched the first two so far, but I have to admit, they’re good and I am starting to understand the hype!

{SIX} Our 2nd Wedding Anniversary

Luke and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary this month! I can’t believe how fast time flies. It feels like our wedding was just yesterday and yet, here we are, two years later. We celebrated by going to dinner at a fancy Italian restaurant and it was delicious. Luke also surprised me with two dozen roses, which was a complete surprise!
